Booking and cancellation conditions

You are welcome to use the room for overnight stay from check in at 3 PM on arrival day until check out at 11 AM the day of departure.

The reservation

You are responsible for making sure that your booking is correct considering arrival / departure date and number of people staying. Your reservation is valid after payment is completed.

Payment

We are a cash-free business.

Your booking has to be paid before arrival.  Choose whether you want to pay your reservation with card online (STRIPE) or by invoice.  It is also possible to pay with card in the reception at arrival.

Cancellation - new generous cancellation terms

Due to the coronavirus pandemic we want to give our guests flexible booking conditions. Therefore it is now possible to cancel your reservation until 3 PM the day before arrival. If  cancelled with shorter notice, 100 % of your reservation will be charged.

If you have signed cancellation cover for SEK 300, you can cancel up to the same day for full refund – if you show a medical certificate. When booking through the external booking channel booking.com, their cancellation policy applies.

Your obligations

You are required to look after the room well and to follow our rules and instructions. You are responsible for any damage that occurs on the property and its fixtures as a result of you or someone in your company being negligent. Any malpractice will be invoiced. Please note that you are staying in historic heritage-listed buildings in an old fortress, so please be extra careful with this in mind.

You are not allowed to let more people stay in the room than agreed in your booking. This is important if evacution is needed in case of fire.

You are obliged to follow the rules of the smoking ban on the accomodation. Pets are not allowed unless this is specially agreed in the reservation.

Between 11 PM and 7 AM you shall observe the utmost regard and silence to other guests.

You have to return the room key no later than 11 AM the day of departure. A lost key will be charged with SEK 1500.

Complaints

Problems or concerns that occur during your stay should be promptly reported to our reception or to our phone (+46 340 69 24 69) so that we have the chance to solve it. If you submit complaints after your stay with us, you will therefore not be compensated. If you have any comments or ideas please send this to info@fastningensvandrarhem.se

Maid service and bed linen

Bed linen must always be used for hygienic reasons. Bed linen and towels are included in our Bed & Breakfast rooms, and can be pre-ordered or rented on site at overnight stay in the hostel. If you sleep without sheets, you will be charged a laundry cost of SEK 400/bed. Sleeping bag is not allowed.

If staying in the hostel, you are responsible for washing your dishes and put them back in the kitchen cabinets. If staying in house 10 or house 13 (B&B-rooms), you can put any dishes on the tray cart in the breakfast room. You are responsible for cleaning up after yourself in the public areas in the hostel, such as kitchens and TV rooms.

You are more than welcome to remove bed linen when you leave the room. Room cleaning is included in all our rooms.

Landlord

Responsible landlord is Fästningens B&B / Hostel. Our obligations are to give you a written confirmation of your booking and to inform you about payment options. We shall also inform you how you get acess to your room key and give you other important information concerning your booking.
